About Me

My photo
I live life as it comes, I'm scared to take risks, I'm a happy wife to a hunky husband, a mom to our pup samsam, a quiet but sometimes grumpy employee, a doll to my friends and a woman who is still figuring out what's her real purpose in life.

Best day & more

My cousin from Edmonton & her friend from Montreal visited me the last weekend. As much as I wanted to accompany them to Banff & Lake Louise, I have been avoiding Mr. Sun for about two months now. I'm not allergic or anything and I don't hate being sun kissed but in two weeks time I'll be wearing not just one but two wedding dresses, the bride needs to be in her best look! Teehee ;P.
So to make up with them, I stayed home & made this frame on how their best day was captured.
I used the making memory Slice machine to produce these words and flowers. There were no
words to describe how they made me feel when they saw my 1st gift!

I hope the best for you two, & cousin, I love you very much!

It's time to shine ;P

Isn’t it amazing to see celebrant’s surprised, lit faces when receiving the cards and gifts you give them? Those moments are always left priceless and stay in you forever.

Rose just recently celebrated her 50th “big day” birthday; if you ask me, she’s young at heart and she doesn't look her age. She's one of the most genuine people you could ever meet. She told me that she thought I bought the card from Hallmark, ‘til this day I'm not sure if she liked my card or not! Nonetheless I love you ate Rose L! But I still wish you; Ruby P. & mamacel could attend my wedding next month :(

Rose’s B-day card,

We got invited by a close friend to attend her niece’s 10th birthday. I used the same cardstocks if you noticed. I don’t want to waste any paper and it has a really nice pattern don’t you agree? I didn’t notice bebe's (the celebrant's name) reaction since she was so excited opening gifts and cards.
Bebe’s B-day card,

There was another get together the following night, a house blessing. Roselle and her family recently purchased a land and had the house built by their own likes. We both used to live in Montreal and we used to attend the same French school together. Roselle, you have a very lovely house! The décor and appliances are superb! Congratulations again!
Roselle’s house blessing card,

The last card I made was one of my fave. I love the layered design, the color combination and look at that butterfly, isn't it pretty?

I am beyond happy! I couldn't imagine I would be in this situation where I no longer buy cards but made them!

Create to Impress!

I thought long & hard on how I will design my first card. I read several articles from magazines, watched videos on YouTube & browsed scrapbooking blogs. It's not as easy as I thought it'd be.

Armed with scissors, cardstocks, glue, ruler & of course determination, I cut, trimmed, punched, aligned & styled the papers. Slowly but surely, I paste all the pieces together & finished it off with a pretty ribbon, the result... Tada!

I ran upstairs to show the card to mom and as expected she was very impressed! I was so proud I couldn't stop bragging about it! Lol. No one really knew from my family & friends that I love to scrapbook, back then I didn't have the money (& I hid the one’s I made and received because they were previously from a high school fling). But overall scrapbooking is an expensive hobby!
Mom then surprised me; she gave me her debit card and told me to buy the stuffs I need. Omg! She just paid more than half of my Louis Vuitton bag a month ago! I was jumping for joy, well, sort of ;)

I headed down to Michaels the following day & bought a bunch of materials.

Moms are simply the best (sometimes) haha... & btw, future hubby gained himself an artsy-craftsy fiancée ;)

Oh the JOY of furniture hunting!

Aloha!

I wish it would have been easy finding the right furniture for my scrapbooking supplies, but holy smoke, it was a pain in the butt! Two weeks ago was probably the craziest week for my future hubby {teehee}. I would always insists of buying the furniture I like from kijiji ads and concluded that he would magically fits them in our SI civic! lol! As loving and understanding as he is, he accompanied me to the following stores, and so I would stop bugging him.

Walmart - too narrow, Superstore- too small, The Brick - too expensive,
Thrift store - perfect bookcase! but it was a display and not for sale! Ahhhh! but we manage to buy a desk! yay!
Village - very nice but it looks really, er, "used"!
Home depot - wow, it was the one! and so I thought =( it's a discontinued model and we can't buy the display either!
Rona - "I'm tired and already grumpy so yeah we can buy that bookcase and let's head home!

I got this lovely desk from thrift store for $20 + a delivery charge of $25.

Bookcase from Rona for $62, I chose black since it would co-ordinate my "fAshiOnIsta" painting.

FH got a permission to take this office chair home that is not in use anymore. It's dark blue, not that I hate the colour but I spiced it up with red, so me!

My scraproom is almost complete, the only thing missing is a place where I can organize all my cardstock. hhhmmm, I guess I'll be bugging my Alexander again! hahaha...

So after a week, we happened to have an ikea center table that we want to dispatch. I showed him how I want my cardstock organizer would look like and God must be really good, FH read my mind and voluntered to built me one out of that table! Ahh, didn't I already mentioned how wonderful my future hubby is! Look how gorgeous & pretty it look! I love love love iiiiit!

What do you think of my scraproom?

Now I can be scrappy^molly! Let the scrapbooking begin!

Bye now =P

Old hobby before I get a new hubby =)

Hiya!

I was looking at a scrapbook store when I noticed their blog. I'm not really sure what I clicked and next thing I knew, I was already in a process of finalizing my first blogger website. hahaha.

Growing up without any access to scrapbooking materials, I would cut out pieces from books and magazines. Cards I received are specially preserved to an album, I guess because my highschool admirer would send me new cards every week. But I always wanted to scrapbook, to make unique and one of a kind album, card, display, etc.

Fast forward to 10 yrs, in the middle of wedding planning, I got addicted to shopping at Micheals here in Calgary. They had me with their weekly coupons! =) But I guess it was faith because when I looked at kijiji ads, there were tons of scrapbooking stuffs for sale too. So there I was contacting most of the sellers, negotiating the price and picking the materials by the help of my wonderful future hubby. The following week, I was so happy I got a bunch of materials in so little time and on a limited budget but where will I organize them all?! =(

Next post would be how I finally (almost) completed my scraproom! So stay tune!

bye now,
